![]() ![]() Other achievements should be pretty straight forward. ![]() ![]() Salty Flats for runners with the seed 777777. For the fish achievement you can use the Ptero Storm seed from before. Firstly, for the achievement for saving 50 dinos you need to complete speedrun levels on Insane! difficulty, otherwise the counter won't increase. This is generally straight forward, however there are a few things to note. Then complete the Planet D speedrun to finish those off.Īfter this comes step 3, getting all of the rest of the achievements. Do this with the seed 111000 for shorter levels and collect the Bronto egg. When you feel ready you can attempt the Insane! challenge mode. Start of with the easy levels and work your way up, upgrading your dino further as you go while also trying to get various achievements and collect eggs along the way. Do all of the speedruns using the seed 111000. Also an alternative for the Spino egg is Up and Down with the seed 928246 in case it doesn't show up in the medium challenge.Īfter these super eggs have been collected your dino should be upgraded enough to take on all of the speedrun levels on Insane! difficulty. If you miss it however, an alternative seed for Rainin' Lizards that includes the Rinch egg right at the beginning is 456789. Secondly getting the Rinch egg can be rather difficult and it is advised that you upgrade your jumping and acceleration stats in order to get it. This mightn't be required however if you complete another achievement, such as 3 worms slurped which gives the required 50 extra bones (30 DNA too!). Firstly the circus tryouts map is included in order to get enough bones to unlock Ptero Storm, which requires 250 bones. Medium Challenge: (Don't use seeds) -> Spino egg, Diplo egg and pixlejam mascot. Rainin' Lizards: 556659 -> Giga egg and Rinch egg Ptero Storm: 363800 -> Oloro egg and Iguano egg My current path involves using the seeds and levels shown below, with all levels being completed on easy difficuly:Ĭircus Tryouts: 803971 -> 10 second bolder ride ![]() One effective way to do this is by using seeds on speedrun maps and collecting all of the super eggs imediately. Now onto the plan! As this run has a lot of different tasks to cover the goal should be to upgrade your dino as quickly as possible. I'll talk about how I do this later, however if you do attempt this run it is in your best interests to collect as many eggs as you can at every oppertunity as this is what the run ultimately comes down to. Currently in the times I've run this catagory I have completed everything else and found myself over 500 eggs short, making the last half hour of this run being purely focused on collecting these eggs. This catagory includes one particular achievement that stands far above all of the others. I have only done two complete runs of this catagory myself though (With my best time being around 2 hours and 20 minutes, which I will hopefully submit soon) so this plan likely has room for further optimisation.īefore we begin I need to mention something right away. As such I have decided to share my current plan for the catagory for anyone that is interested in potentially running it. With that in mind it is good to approach the run with a specific plan in mind beforehand in order to achieve everything in the fastest way possible while limiting any time wasted. It also shows that DX12 is not a magical trick that will automatically increase your performance, especially when NVIDIA has done an incredible work with its driver optimizations.Īccording to reports, AMD owners can expect better performance under DX12, however this may be also due to the fact that AMD’s drivers are not as optimized for DX11 games as NVIDIA’s are.Dino Run DX's longest speedrun the 100% run is quite a gruelling challenge for anyone who is brave enough to attempt it, potentially lasting multiple hours. This may show the incredible job that NVIDIA has done with its drivers regarding the DX11 API. Still, the DX11 path was as fast as the DX12 one, even though our GPU was underused in DX11. As we can see, in DX12 our GPU was used to its fullest. What’s really interesting here, however, is the GPU usage. The first benchmark stresses the GPU, while the second one measures AI and turn-processing performance.Īs we can see, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI performed similarly in DX11 and DX12 on our PC system (Intel i7 4930K (turbo boosted at 4.2Ghz) with 8GB RAM, NVIDIA’s GTX980Ti and GTX690, Windows 10 64-bit and the latest WHQL version of the GeForce drivers). Thankfully, Firaxis Games has included two in-game benchmark tools. Firaxis Games has released a new patch that adds DX12 support for Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, therefore it’s time now to compare these two modes and see whether there are any performance improvements. ![]()
